I am passionate about the future of India, and have been since my childhood. When my college friends were plunging into MBA programs, I chose to do a Master's in Government Administration from a leading global university. Having lived and worked as an economist in East Asia for 15 years, I would like to apply to India the knowledge I have gained about East Asia's success in lifting hundreds of millions rapidly from poverty to prosperity.
I believe the institutional decay of all our political parties threatens the vitality and future of our democracy: while entrepreneurship and creativity are taking India forward economically, our decaying institutions and the growing fatuity of our politics continue to drag us down. We urgently need to stem the political decay before it begins eating into the vitals of our economy.
Specifically, I intend to begin in my home state: the decline of Bengal and Calcutta pains me, and I intend to use the Web to create a movement to help reverse the decline of Bengal. Endless Agitations must end, and Building must begin, if Bengal's prospects are to be revived. This site is intended to be the first building block for that revival.
